Volleyball Recap: Smithton Takes a Loss

Smithton lost against Sacred Heart back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Gremlins. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Drew Bray paced Smithton's offense, picking up seven kills. Bray really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six. Codee Neibreugge and Jozie Moulton kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Smithton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14-1. As for Sacred Heart, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8-1 record this season.

Smithton has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Lincoln on the 11th. As for Sacred Heart, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Stover on the 11th.
