It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Laconia can now relate to. They lost to the Gilford Golden Eagles on the road by a 20-6 margin on Saturday. The Sachems' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Laconia still got an impressive performance from Jacob Tryon, who rushed for 63 yards and one touchdown.

Gilford got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Liam Butler out in front who rushed for 62 yards and a pair of TDs. Lukas Diaz helped out on the ground, rushing for 85 yards.

Laconia's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Gilford, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

As of now, neither Laconia nor the Golden Eagles have any future games scheduled.
