Soccer Recap: Live Oak Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ann Sobrato last Wednesday, Live Oak came back down to earth. The Live Oak Acorns fell 3-1 to the Silver Creek Raiders on Friday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Acorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in January.

Live Oak has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10-1 record this season. As for Silver Creek, their record now sits at 8-5-3.

Live Oak will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Leland at 7:00 p.m. Leland's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Silver Creek, they will venture away from home to face off against Santa Teresa at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Silver Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.
