Volleyball Recap: Chiles Timberwolves vs. Beachside Barracudas
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Chiles had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Beachside Barracudas by a score of 3-1. The victory was nothing new for the Timberwolves as they're now sitting on 20 straight.
Chiles walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-15, 25-27, 25-17.
Kate Stewart paced Chiles' offense, picking up 22 kills. Stewart got some help from
Natalie Gibson and her 38 assists.
Lindsay Smith controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Chiles' victory was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-1. As for Beachside, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-4.
As of now, neither Chiles nor Beachside have any future games scheduled.
