Baseball Recap: Baldwin Comes Up Short

Baldwin's last matchup with Fletcher could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Tuesday. Baldwin came up short against Fletcher, falling 8-2. The Indians have struggled against the Senators recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Baldwin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Harmon, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Baldwin's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Fletcher, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baldwin will challenge Trinity Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Christian Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Baldwin's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Fletcher, they will face off against Bishop Kenny at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Kenny has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something Fletcher will no doubt try to take advantage of.
