After losing to Vestal the last time they met, Owego Free Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The River Hawks took down the Golden Bears 30-13 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the River Hawks.

When it comes to explaining why Vestal lost, don't look at Cayden Kitchin. Despite the final result, he rushed for 82 yards and one score on only nine carries. Kitchin was even better on defense, picking up 0.5 sacks and making 20 total tackles.

Owego Free Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Vestal, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Owego Free Academy and Vestal will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The River Hawks are set to face off against their familiar foe Maine-Endwell at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Vestal will challenge rival Binghamton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
