Recap: South Grand Prairie Warriors vs. Bowie Volunteers
After a string of three wins, The South Grand Prairie Warriors''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Bowie by a score of 24-21. South Grand Prairie was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bowie apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Despite the loss, South Grand Prairie still got an impressive performance from Iantavion Williams, who picked up 114 receiving yards and a touchdown.
It was another big night for Darrion Bowers, who rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown. Bowers is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played. Khalil Stolden made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
South Grand Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Bowie, their win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-2.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Lamar the next time they take the field. Bowie will host Lamar at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while South Grand Prairie will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 2nd.
