Soccer Recap: Esparto Falls Short of Denair in the Playoffs

Esparto and Denair squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Esparto had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Denair Coyotes by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by just one goal.

Esparto has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season. As for Denair, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Esparto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Denair, they will challenge Bradshaw Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bradshaw Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.
