Baseball Recap: Ridgefield Park Takes a Loss

Ridgefield Park was the 5-4 winner over Dumont when they last played one another last Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Scarlets fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.

Jason Alvarado was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Ridgefield Park's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Dumont, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgefield Park will venture away from home to take on Mahwah at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Dumont, they will head out to challenge Ramsey at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Rams have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
