Softball Game Preview: St. Agnes Academy Tigers vs. Episcopal Knights

The St. Agnes Academy Tigers will face off against the Episcopal Knights at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Episcopal will be up against a hot St. Agnes Academy team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. St. Agnes Academy never let Incarnate Word Academy get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Episcopal won against Ball on Saturday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Episcopal was the clear victor by a 13-0 margin over Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Episcopal's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for St. Agnes Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3-1.

St. Agnes Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Episcopal when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. Will St. Agnes Academy repeat their success, or does Episcopal has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
