Basketball Recap: Eric Johns' Big Game Can't Quite Lead East Wake over Enloe + How To Watch

East Wake extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They fell 60-49 to the Enloe Eagles. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

East Wake's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eric Johns, who went 6-for-7 to rack up 13 points and five rebounds. Norman Eleby was another key player, putting up four points in addition to seven boards and six assists.

As for Enloe, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 62.5 points this season.

Enloe's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gianni McIntire, who posted 13 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave McIntire a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Gui Wilkins, who scored 13 points and four steals.

Looking ahead, East Wake is taking a road trip to take on Clayton at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Enloe, they will be playing at home against Southeast Raleigh at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
