Softball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the Waterloo West Wahawks. Even if the Hawks couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Waterloo West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Jefferson beat the Wahawks by a score of 8-0 later that day.
