West Florida is a perfect 10-0 against Escambia since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Jaguars will welcome the Gators at 5:30 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when West Florida took on St. Michael Catholic on Thursday. The Jaguars fell 2-0 to the Cardinals. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, Escambia entered their tilt with Northview on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Chiefs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Gators have posted since September 16, 2024.

Escambia had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 16-25, 25-18, 25-23, 15-12.

Escambia's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for West Florida, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

West Florida beat Escambia 3-1 when the teams last played back in August. Will the Jaguars repeat their success, or do the Gators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
