Baseball Game Preview: Evadale Rebels vs. Danbury Panthers

Evadale is 0-3 against Danbury since March of 2024 but things could change on Tuesday. The Rebels will be playing at home against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. This will be Evadale's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Evadale saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of Kirbyville by a score of 2-1.

Evadale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brett Buckner, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Danbury duked it out with Brazos last Friday. The Panthers won by a run and slipped past the Cougars 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

Evadale's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Danbury, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Evadale couldn't quite get it done against Danbury in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 as they fell 5-2. Can the Rebels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
