After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monroe, Peach County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 53-29 margin over the Cairo Syrupmakers. That 24 point margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

When it comes to explaining why Cairo lost, don't look at Shaquara Mills. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Mills is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last five games she's played. Elyse Pierce was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.

Peach County's win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Cairo, they are on a 31-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.
