Softball Recap: Blaine Takes a Loss

The matchup between Blaine and Sedro-Woolley on Saturday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Borderites came up short against the Cubs, falling 18-3. The Borderites have struggled against the Cubs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Blaine saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mesa Puls, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was Puls' first of the season.

Blaine's record is now 3-5. As for Sedro-Woolley, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Blaine is set to challenge their familiar foe Meridian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sedro-Woolley will take on rival Lakewood at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
