Baseball Recap: Milton Hershey Takes a Loss

If Milton Hershey was feeling good fresh off their 16-4 takedown of Steelton-Highspire last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans came up short against the East Pennsboro Panthers on Wednesday, falling 15-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 5-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Milton Hershey saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parris Blackston, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Deven Carbonell also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Milton Hershey dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for East Pennsboro, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 9-0.

Milton Hershey will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Middletown at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for East Pennsboro, they have already played their next match, an 11-5 win against Camp Hill on the 14th.
