Basketball Recap: Summit Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Summit Christian Academy lost against Hampton Roads Academy back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Summit Christian Academy Eagles were dealt a 68-6 loss at the hands of the Hampton Roads Academy Navigators. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hampton Roads Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nalani Carter, who went 6 of 14 en route to 12 points along with seven assists and six boards. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Cooper, who posted 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.

This is the second loss in a row for Summit Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 2-9. As for Hampton Roads Academy, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summit Christian Academy will welcome Isle of Wight Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hampton Roads Academy, they will face off against Norfolk Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
