Soccer Game Preview: Needville vs. La Marque

Needville has gone 4-0 against La Marque recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Needville Bluejays will be playing in front of their home fans against the La Marque Cougars at 10:00 a.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Needville didn't have quite enough to beat Sweeny and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Bluejays have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, La Marque was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 6-2 to Stafford.

This is the second loss in a row for Needville and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for La Marque, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything went Needville's way against La Marque when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Needville made off with an 8-0 win. Does Needville have another victory up their sleeve, or will La Marque turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
