It was a proper cat-fight when Central challenged Brooks on Thursday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lions. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.
One reason for the win was Central's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 25-16.
Ta'Maya Coman paced Central's offense, picking up 17 kills. Coman got some help from Caroline Butler and her 16 assists. Coman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.
Central's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Brooks, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
