Basketball Recap: Six Straight Home Victories for Daniel

Daniel won the last time they faced Belton-Honea Path and things went their way on Saturday too. The Daniel Lions strolled past the Belton-Honea Path Bears with points to spare, taking the game 58-42. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Simms Disbrow had an outrageously good game as he went 7 of 11 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Smith, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

Daniel smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in nine consecutive games.

Daniel's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Belton-Honea Path, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Daniel will look to defend their home court on Monday against Collins Hill at 5:00 p.m. Collins Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully Daniel likes a good challenge. Belton-Honea Path and Seneca will compete for holiday cheer at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
