Copley hadn't done well against Tallmadge recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Indians never let the Blue Devils get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 4-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Evan Chmielewski made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over seven innings pitched. Chmielewski was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Copley and bumps their season record up to 5-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Tallmadge, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
