Cano threw for 307 yards and four touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes while Sital picked up 163 receiving yards and three TDs. Those 163 receiving yards gave Sital a new career-high. James Delgado was in the mix too, providing Mission with two scores.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 49 points the game before, Rowe was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 16-0 bruising from Vela. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.
Rowe moved to 4-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Mission, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5.
Mission was able to grind out a solid victory over Rowe when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 52-42. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Warriors' Adrian Botello, who threw for 293 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 53 yards and one TD on only six carries.
