Preview: Anthony Wildcats vs. Fort Hancock Mustangs

Anthony is 1-9 against Fort Hancock since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Anthony Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Fort Hancock Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. Anthony is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Anthony was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-46 to McCamey.

Despite the defeat, Anthony got a solid performance out of Julie Cuellar, who scored 29 points. That was a full 63% of Anthony's points, marking the 22nd time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Aissa Castillo, who scored 17 points.

Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, Fort Hancock's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. The game between Fort Hancock and Wink wasn't particularly close, with Fort Hancock falling 53-38.

Anthony has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. As for Fort Hancock, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6.
