Softball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Central Hardin's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

The Central Hardin Bruins sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Lyon County Lyons on Saturday.

Central Hardin is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Lyon County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Coming up, Central Hardin will take on Oldham County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bruins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colonels have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Lyon County, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Owensboro Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
