            Bloomsburg hasn't had much luck against Central Columbia recently, but that could start to change  on Saturday. Bloomsburg will venture away from home to  face off against Central Columbia  at 11:00  a.m. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  matchup.
On Thursday, Bloomsburg came up short against Shamokin Area  and fell  9-6. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bloomsburg got a good showing from  Brayden Holbert, who   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   three  hits. Holbert has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Shane Frey made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run while going 2-for-4. He also  hit a  double, marking his first of the season.  Brady Hendricks was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Central Columbia had to hit the road for their first game and  it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost  14-1 to Southern Columbia Area on Thursday.
Bloomsburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Central Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
 Bloomsburg might still be hurting after the  14-8 loss they got from Central Columbia  when the teams last played  back in May of 2024. Can Bloomsburg avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
