Basketball Game Preview: Mount Airy Christian Academy vs. Maryland School for the Deaf Orioles

Having just played yesterday, Mount Airy Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Maryland School for the Deaf Orioles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Airy Christian Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Maryland School for the Deaf will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Mount Airy Christian Academy beat Redeemer Classical Christ 47-36. The win made it back-to-back victories for Mount Airy Christian Academy.

Mount Airy Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Avery Witter, who posted 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. Witter is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Caroline Apolenis was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Meanwhile, Maryland School for the Deaf's game on Friday was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to Redeemer Classical Christ. The Orioles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maryland School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Mount Airy Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Mount Airy Christian Academy took their win against Maryland School for the Deaf when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 67-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mount Airy Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
