Football Recap: Peoria Heights Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Biggsville West Central, Peoria Heights was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on West Prairie/Southeastern with a sharp 36-16 victory. The Patriots' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Peoria Heights' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for West Prairie/Southeastern, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peoria Heights will square off against Bushnell-Prairie City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for West Prairie/Southeastern, they will venture away from home to square off against Biggsville West Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Heat will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something West Prairie/Southeastern surely won't give up without a fight.
