Harlem gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They claimed a resounding 30-3 win over the Belvidere Bucs. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Bucs: they've now won nine in a row.

Harlem found their leader in sophomore Braxton Fausett, who threw for 282 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Harlem's defense and their four sacks. Brenyn Brickson was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He has been hot for a while, having also posted five or more total tackles the last 11 times he's played. Bryar Krieg was another major factor on D, making 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Harlem will take on rival Rockford Auburn at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Belvidere is set to face off against their familiar foe Guilford at 7:15 p.m. on the 6th.
