It was a good run, but New Trier unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 45-37 to the Libertyville Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Trevians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Wildcats are ranked 23rd).

New Trier's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-13. As for Libertyville, their win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Trier will welcome Glenbrook North at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Libertyville, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Maine South at 5:30 p.m.
