Softball Game Preview: Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks vs. Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack

The Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks will square off against the Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Archbishop McCarthy fell victim to Florida Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Schoolhouse Prep came up short against Evangelical Christian on Thursday and fell 5-2.

Abigail Serrano was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelly Benitez, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Schoolhouse Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Archbishop McCarthy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
