After losing to Lawrence County the last time they met, Hatton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hornets came out on top against the Red Devils by a score of 54-45 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Despite the loss, Lawrence County still got an impressive performance from Alivia Terry, who shot 40% from the field en route to 19 points. Terry continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Lara Anne Norwood was another key player, putting up four points and eight rebounds.

Hatton's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Lawrence County, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-11.

Hatton and Lawrence County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. The Hornets (ranked 108th) will meet Deshler (ranked 19th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lawrence County will challenge West Point at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (165 vs. 8).
