Eagle Valley kept a clean sheet against Battle Mountain on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Huskies 1-0. That's two games straight that Eagle Valley have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Chloe Greener, who's now up to two this season.

Eagle Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six contests. As for Battle Mountain, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1-1 and their overall record down to 7-5-3.

Eagle Valley and Battle Mountain could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Devils will face off against Green Mountain on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (102 vs. 16). Meanwhile, Battle Mountain (ranked 94th) will meet Lutheran (ranked 23rd) at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
