Basketball Recap: Taygan Jensen Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Patagonia

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Duncan). They came out on top against the Patagonia Lobos by a score of 50-38 on Saturday. For the Wildkats, this counts as revenge for the 43-36 win the Lobos walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Duncan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Taygan Jensen out in front who posted 13 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jared Kempton, who scored six points and five boards.

Duncan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in five consecutive games dating back to last season.

The win got Duncan back to even at 2-2. As for Patagonia, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Duncan will face off against San Manuel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Wildkats their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Patagonia, they will challenge San Simon at 7:00 p.m. on December 1.
