Basketball Recap: Fox Creek Beats Newberry for Their Third Straight Win

Fox Creek had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They managed a 60-54 victory over the Newberry Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Predators, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Fox Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kobe Sims led the charge by putting up 18 points and four steals. Sims' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brelan Baskett, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards.

Fox Creek's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Newberry, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Keenan the next time they take the court. Fox Creek will head out to face Keenan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Newberry will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th.
