Softball Recap: Southern Takes a Loss

Valley hit Southern with a four-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans lost 8-0 to the Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-6 two weeks ago.

Southern has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-13.

Southern wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-2 defeat against Fern Creek on the 14th. Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
