Softball Recap: Plainfield Takes a Loss

Plainfield fell victim to Somerset Tech and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Jaguars, falling 15-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost three in a row.

Plainfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Somerset Tech, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6.

Coming up, Plainfield will face off against Hillside at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Comets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 20.17 runs per game on average), something the Cardinals will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Somerset Tech, they have already played their next matchup, a 27-2 win against Perth Amboy Vo-Tech on the 4th.
