Baseball Recap: Vanguard Knights vs. P.K. Yonge Blue Wave
After losing to P.K. Yonge the last time they met, Vanguard decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Vanguard Knights put the hurt on the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave with a sharp 10-3 win on Wednesday. Considering the Knights have won five games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Vanguard got a massive performance out of Clayton ?CT? Antonucci, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave Antonucci a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Aiton, who scored three runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Vanguard always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as P.K. Yonge only posted an OBP of .333.
Vanguard's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-3. As for P.K. Yonge, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.
Looking ahead, Vanguard will square off against Belleview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vanguard's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Belleview's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for P.K. Yonge, they will take on Coral Shores at 6:00 p.m. on March 20th.
