Lincoln skates past Verdugo Hills with ease

There's no place like home for the Lincoln Trojans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They took their game at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 82-28 win over Verdugo Hills. With that victory, Lincoln brought their scoring average up to 53.3 points per game.

Anthony Moore went supernova for Lincoln, scoring 22 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Moore has scored at least 25% of Lincoln's points. Quentin Thompson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.

Lincoln's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. As for Verdugo Hills, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-3.

Lincoln will take on Coral Glades in a holiday battle at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at. Hopefully Coral Glades focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday. As for Verdugo Hills, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Mary's at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. Mary's presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Verdugo Hills in California (St. Mary's is ranked 62nd, while Verdugo Hills is ranked 231st).
