Soccer Recap: Hargrave Takes a Loss

After soaring to seven goals the game before, Hargrave was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell just short of the East Chambers Buccaneers by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 507th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 141st).

Hargrave's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-7. As for East Chambers, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2-1.

Coming up, Hargrave will host Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Chambers, they will head out to challenge Livingston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Chambers' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
