Softball Recap: Tri-West Hendricks Sets Scoring Season-High Against Crawfordsville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tri-West Hendricks). They blew past the Crawfordsville Athenians 22-2 on Tuesday. With that victory, the Bruins brought their scoring average up to 7.4 runs per game.

Adelyn Lengerich was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Tri-West Hendricks let Emma Charles and Peyton Norman run wild. Charles went 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs, while Norman went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those six RBI gave Charles a new career-high. Addy Brower was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Tri-West Hendricks always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Tri-West Hendricks pushed their record up to 3-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Crawfordsville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
