Milford is 8-2 against Hoopeston since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Milford Bearcats will head out to take on the Hoopeston Cornjerkers at 7:00 p.m.

Milford came up into this matchup off a tough 27-point defeat on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Salt Fork by a score of 38-35 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bearcats have suffered since December 14, 2024.

Meanwhile, Hoopeston had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-57 victory over the Comets.

Milford better keep an eye on Trenton Montez. He was instrumental in Hoopeston's win, going 9 of 18 on his way to 23 points along with five boards and five steals. Those 23 points gave Montez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Walder, who posted 13 points and five assists.

Hoopeston's record is now 10-4. As for Milford, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Things could have been worse for Milford, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-42 loss to Hoopeston when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Milford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
