Volleyball Recap: Make It Six in a Row for Coventry

Coventry had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Canton Warriors with a sharp 3-0 win on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Coventry was led to victory by Brooke White and Abigail Polo. White had 22 digs, while Polo hit 70% for seven kills and 13 digs and nine aces. Polo has been hot for a while, having also posted 18 or more assists the last 52 times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Coventry was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 20 consecutive matchups.

Coventry's victory bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Canton, the loss snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 16-8 record.

As of now, neither Coventry nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
