Softball Recap: Marshfield Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Marshfield hadn't done well against Chippewa Falls recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Tigers came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 6-2. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 15-2 victory the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Marshfield got a big performance out of Delaney Varsho, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Lydia Garvin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Marshfield pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Marshfield will host Antigo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chippewa Falls, they will challenge Eau Claire North at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
