Recap: Loganville Red Devils vs. Flowery Branch Falcons
The Loganville Red Devils''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They secured a 32-28 W over Flowery Branch. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Loganville also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Joseph Barnes had a dynamite game for Loganville, rushing for 183 yards and three touchdowns. Charles Barkley-smith also helped out with an impressive 189 receiving yards.
When it comes to explaining why Flowery Branch lost, one person who can't be blamed is Josh Oliver. Despite the final result, he threw for 222 yards and two touchdowns.
Loganville's victory bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Flowery Branch, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loganville will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mays at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. Mays will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Flowery Branch, they will head out on the road to face off against Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Heritage will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Flowery Branch is ranked 107th).
