Football Game Preview: Scott Eagles vs. Conner Cougars

Scott hasn't had much luck against Conner recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Scott has given up an average of 41.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Scott is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Cooper on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Eagles were dealt a 42-6 defeat at the hands of the Jaguars. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

The losing side was boosted by Trey Cook, who threw for 193 yards on 17 of 36 attempts, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 53 points the game before, Conner was a bit more limited in their game two weeks ago. They had to suffer through a 34-7 loss at the hands of Dixie Heights. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Conner's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Scott, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-6.

Scott was dealt a bruising 56-0 loss at the hands of Conner when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
