Recap: Heartland Huskies vs. Sutton Mustangs
The Heartland Huskies lost against the Sutton Mustangs back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Heartland fell 42-30 to Sutton. Heartland has not had much luck with Sutton recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Heartland's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Allie Boehr, who scored 4 points along with 8 rebounds, and Emerysn Oswald who scored 10 points. Boehr is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Heartland now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Sutton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heartland will face off against Giltner at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Giltner focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Sutton, they will head out on the road to face off against McCool Junction at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully McCool Junction focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday.
