Basketball Recap: Century Beats Northside Baptist Christian for Their Third Straight Win

Century entered their tilt with Northside Baptist Christian on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 38-29 victory over the Northside Baptist Christian Lions. The win was all the more spectacular given the Centurions' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 640th in Illinois, while the Lions are ranked 265th in Kentucky).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Century to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kali Crain, who posted 14 points. Crain continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Nevaeh Mackins was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Century's record is now 9-11. As for Northside Baptist Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Century will take on Frankfort at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Northside Baptist Christian has already played their next matchup (against Joppa-Maple Grove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
