Baseball Recap: Three Straight Home Wins for Perryville

While Perryville put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Windsor. The Pirates came out on top against the Owls by a score of 4-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Wednesday.

The result came thanks to Troy O'Keefe's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks. Perryville is undefeated when O'Keefe allows two or fewer hits, but 3-5 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dalton Fritsche, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Waylon Huber, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Perryville pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Windsor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Perryville will face off against Sikeston at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Windsor, they will take on Herculaneum at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
