Soccer Recap: Mesquite Comes Up Short

Mesquite was the 4-0 winner over Cactus when they last played one another back in January of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats came up short against the Cobras on Wednesday, falling 8-0.

Mesquite's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Cactus, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

Looking ahead, Mesquite will head out on the road to challenge ALA - Queen Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. ALA - Queen Creek will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Mesquite surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cactus, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Westview at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th.
